Strengths Model Case Management är den metod som Socialstyrelsen (SOS) rekommenderar i arbetet med vård och stöd vid kognitiva funktionshinder, missbruk och beroende. Efter en systematisk genomgång av forskningen på området rekommenderar Socialstyrensen i sina Nationella riktlinjer för vård och stöd vid missbruk och beroende att man i sitt klientarbete använder sig av Strengths Model Case Management.

Professor Charles Rapp
Associate Professor Marnetoft is an international leader in strengths-based services for people with disabilities. He has visited The University of Kansas School of Social Welfare on several occasions. He met with the originators of the Strengths Model, the staff of the Center for Mental Health Research and Innovation, and visited various sites where he observed first hand Strengths Based Case Management practice. His professional commitments emphasize client self-determination, empowerment, and a profound belief in people's ability to grow, change and achieve. He is a frequent speaker at conferences in Sweden and around the globe. I am honored to be Sven-Uno's colleague and friend.
Charlie Rapp is Professor at the University of Kansas School of Social Welfare and has for a long time been the Director of the Office of Mental Health Research and Training. He holds a PH.D. and M.S.W. from the University of Illinois and a BS from Millikin University. He is the developer of Strengths Model of case management and the client-centered performance model of social administration. His book, The Strengths Model: Case Management with People Suffering from Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, was published in its first edition by Oxford Press in August, 1998. Second edition 2006 and third edition 2012.
